Belgrade:An Azerbaijani delegation led by Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), has embarked on a visit to the Republic of Serbia. The purpose of the visit is to observe the snap parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the visit is taking place at the invitation of Vladimir Dimitrijevic, Chairperson of the Republic Electoral Commission of Serbia. The Azerbaijani delegation aims to expand international cooperation and exchange experiences in the field of election administration.
As part of the visit, Mazahir Panahov will meet with his Serbian counterpart Vladimir Dimitrijevic, along with other officials, heads of international election observation missions, and foreign electoral bodies. The discussions will focus on developing inter-agency ties, exchanging best practices in election organization and conduct, and addressing other issues of mutual interest.
The CEC representatives will also familiarize themselves with the pre-election preparations in Belgrade and observe the voting process at polling stations on the election day.
