BAKU: The U20 Wrestling World Championship continues in Pontevedra, Spain, Trend reports via Idman.biz.
According to information, Greco-Roman wrestlers in three more weight categories stepped on the carpet on the second day of the competition.
Three Azerbaijani wrestlers began their performance with qualification and one – with 1/8 finals.

Tavakkul Gaziyev defeated his rival Bayaman Karimov (Kyrgyzstan) with a score of 10:0. In the next fight he lost to Japan’s Kajiro Hasegawa with a score of 3:7.

Ruslan Nurullaev defeated Moldavian Vasile Zabica 9:1 in the first bout. Then he defeated Indian Aakash Punian (5:3) and Croatian Luka Ivancic (8:0). In the semifinals, Nurullayev lost to Armenian Ashot Khachaturian 1:4. Our athlete will fight for the bronze medal.

Mikayil Ismailov defeated Mexican Dorian Emmanuel with a score of 5:2 in the first fight. In the 1/8 finals,

Ismail Rzayev in the 1/8 finals with the score of 13:4 beat Mohammed Yadollah (Iran), and then in the 1/4 finals lost to Abdurakhman Abdulakdirov (AIN) – 0:11.
To note, the national team of Azerbaijan is represented by 25 athletes at the World Championship. The World Championship will end on September 8.
