BAKU: A total of 1,255 people have been nominated as candidates for deputies in connection with the extraordinary parliamentary election, chairperson of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said, Trend reports.
He noted that 87 people have been registered as candidates for deputies so far.
On June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the dissolution of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the sixth convocation and the appointment of an extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The snap election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
