Baku: War veterans with disabilities and families of martyrs in Azerbaijan will soon be exempt from state fees for documents related to the registration of property ownership. Proposed amendments to the Law ‘On State Fees’ have been placed on the agenda for the Milli Majlis session scheduled for December 16.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the amendments are specifically targeted at socially vulnerable groups. These include individuals whose disabilities were incurred due to war, the January 20 events, or during military service duties, including those related to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Families of martyrs are also included in this exemption. The aim is to enhance the social protection of these groups by eliminating state fees for relevant services and legal actions.
The proposed changes affect Articles 6 and 26 of the Law ‘On State Fees,’ which define the rates for issuing documents related to the state registration of ownership and other property rights to real estate. This includes the issuance of extracts from the state register concerning rights to real estate, technical documents like passports and measurement plans, land surveying work for land plot registration, certificates from the state register about restrictions on real estate rights, and state registration of mortgages.
