Azerbaijan to Restrict Compulsory Health Insurance Fund Investments

Baku:Azerbaijan is set to prohibit the investment of the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund’s available funds in the local financial market.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the restriction is part of a proposed amendment to the Law “On Medical Insurance.” The draft amendment outlines that the possibility of investing these available funds domestically will be eliminated.

The proposal further specifies that any remaining funds at the end of the year will be redirected to cover expenditures in subsequent years.
