Baku:Azerbaijan is set to launch a new system that will automatically pre-fill tax declarations for entrepreneurs. This development was announced by Samir Khaligov, the Acting Head of the Main Department of Tax Risk Management at the State Tax Service, during the “Digital Financial Ecosystem A New Stage in Governance” conference held in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the system is designed to expand the current pre-filling mechanism already used for simplified tax declarations. It will automatically populate the relevant sections of the tax declarations using available data, which taxpayers will then need to verify and confirm.
The initiative also includes plans for enabling tax declaration submissions via a mobile application, particularly aimed at micro-entrepreneurs who may have limited access to desktop computers. Khaligov emphasized that this is part of a broader effort to enhance data exchange between state institutions, with the State Tax Service currently receiving data from 45 institutions and providing data to 42.
Khaligov further explained that integrating information systems is expected to reduce documentation burdens, simplify tax administration, and improve the speed of services for entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan.
