Amman:The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) hosted the ‘Experience Azerbaijan B2B Networking Event’ in Amman, Jordan, on November 2, aiming to enhance tourism ties and business connections between Azerbaijan and Jordan. The event gathered 66 travel trade professionals from 48 companies to explore Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event was attended by Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of ATB, and H.E. Shahin Abdullayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Jordan. The programme focused on introducing participants to Azerbaijan’s year-round tourism opportunities, highlighting destinations such as Baku, Gabala, Shahdag, Guba-Gusar, and Shaki. The presentation covered a wide range of experiences, including family holidays, luxury resorts, and cultural heritage.
A significant component of the event was the B2B programme, which facilitated interactions between three Azerbaijani companies, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), and Jordanian travel agencies and tour operators. These meetings aimed to discuss potential collaborations and explore new business ventures.
The event also featured 17 media representatives to help increase awareness of Azerbaijan’s tourism potential in the Jordanian market. Air travel between the two countries is facilitated by weekly charter flights operated by AZAL and Fly Jordan, offering more travel options for Jordanian visitors.
During the official visit, Florian Sengstschmid and Ramzi Al-Maaytah, CEO of the Jordan Tourism Board, discussed the current AZAL flights and considered the introduction of additional flight connections, considering visa facilitation measures.
