Cannes:Azerbaijan has showcased its burgeoning golf tourism sector on the international stage at the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) 2026. The event, which took place from October 19 to 22 in Cannes, France, marked an important opportunity for the country to present its golf offerings to a global audience.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and Dreamland Golf Club represented the country with a dedicated national stand. They aimed to introduce Azerbaijan’s potential as a golf destination to international tour operators, travel agencies, and industry partners.
IGTM is recognized as a leading international event for golf tourism, bringing together destinations, resorts, and specialized travel businesses from around the world. The program focused on pre-scheduled B2B meetings where industry representatives explored new tourism products, discussed market opportunities, and established professional connections. Azerbaijan’s participation provided direct access to specialists involved in developing and promoting golf holidays across international markets.
The exhibition also highlighted businesses specializing in golf technology, retail, apparel, accessories, and club management, offering insights into the latest developments shaping the sector. These interactions allowed participants to explore industry innovations and gain a broader understanding of the services and infrastructure supporting modern golf tourism.
By participating in IGTM 2026, the ATB and Dreamland Golf Club supported Azerbaijan’s efforts to diversify its tourism offerings beyond established travel experiences. This involvement created opportunities for future cooperation with international travel businesses and contributed to positioning Azerbaijan as an emerging destination for golf enthusiasts seeking new locations to play and explore.
