Baku: Azerbaijan participated in the annual charity fair (Kermes) organized by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses’ Solidarity Association (DMEDD) in Ankara. The event, held on December 7, featured a vibrant representation from Azerbaijan, including its Embassy in Trkiye and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani national stand highlighted the country’s cultural heritage through a display of traditional dishes and sweets. The event saw active participation from various embassies and cultural centers in Trkiye, each presenting their unique cultural and culinary offerings.
The festival included an artistic program with music and dance performances from Trkiye and other participating nations. Notably, the ‘Zangezur’ dance group from the Azerbaijan Cultural Center showcased national dances, contributing to the event’s cultural exchange. Proceeds from the fair are intended to support educational scholarships and social assistance projects.
