Baku: The value of food products imported to Azerbaijan in 2025 reached 2 billion 590 million 994 thousand US dollars.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the report of the State Customs Committee, there was a 4.7% increase in the value of food imports compared to the previous year. Food products constituted 10.63% of the total imports of the country last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 47,641 tons of meat valued at 117 million 964 thousand US dollars. This represents a decrease of 8.9% in value and 18.8% in volume compared to the previous year. Additionally, 18,319 tons of milk were imported, marking an increase of 18.4% in volume and 30% in value, reaching 32 million 208 thousand US dollars.
The country also brought in 24,917 tons of butter and other milk-derived fats, a decrease of 15.9% in volume, valued at 172 million 637 thousand US dollars, which is a slight decrease of 0.6% in value.
