Baku: Azerbaijan has disclosed the presence of approximately 320 Chinese companies operating within its borders, highlighting the growing economic ties between the two nations. Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev shared this information at the Azerbaijan-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, emphasizing the significance of China’s role as Azerbaijan’s fourth-largest trading partner.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Elnur Aliyev stated that from January to April of this year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and China surpassed 1.4 billion US dollars. He mentioned the establishment of trade and wine houses belonging to Azerbaijan in various regions of China, indicating a robust bilateral trade relationship. The sectors of green energy, transportation, and agriculture have been identified as pivotal areas of collaboration.
Aliyev further suggested the potential for joint projects by leveraging Azerbaijan’s solar and wind energy resources alongside China’s expertise in new technologies, underscoring the strategic importance of these sectors in fostering economic growth and cooperation between the two countries.
