In January-July 2023, receipts to the state budget of Azerbaijan totalled AZN 18,766.6 million, and deductions from the budget amounted to AZN 17,620.5 million. This is reported by the State Statistics Committee. The report says that this is up by 4.8% and 14.9% from the same period of 2022, respectively. As a result, a surplus of AZN 1,146.1 million was formed in the budget, which is down by 55.3% from a year ago. According to the updated Law of Azerbaijan “On State Budget for 2023”, this year’s budget revenues should make up AZN 33,890.5 million and budget expenditures AZN 36,624.8 million. Over 7 months, 55.4% of revenues and 48.1% of expenditures have been fulfilled.
