Baku: The main hall for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) is set to accommodate up to 6,000 participants, as revealed during President Ilham Aliyev’s inspection of the Baku Olympic Stadium. This session is scheduled to take place from May 17 to 22.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the current level of preparedness at the venue ensures efficient management of high participant traffic, numerous parallel events, and the reception of international delegations. The primary discussion and side-event zone spans 3.55 hectares and includes conference rooms for thematic sessions, UN events, and bilateral negotiations, allowing for simultaneous official and business meetings.
During the forum, organizers have planned approximately 300 parallel sessions, meetings, and events each day. This comprehensive setup demonstrates the capability of the venue to handle the extensive schedule and the large influx of participants expected for the event.
