Baku:The government of Azerbaijan is set to increase the subsistence minimum by 4.6% in 2027. This adjustment is outlined in the draft law titled “On the Subsistence Minimum in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027,” which was recently presented at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Labor and Social Policy and Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the current subsistence minimum for 2026 stands at 300 manats nationwide. The proposed draft law suggests that this minimum will rise to 314 manats in the next year, marking a 14-manat increase, which translates to a 4.6% rise.
For various demographics, the subsistence minimum will differ in 2027. It is projected to be 334 manats for the working-age population, 258 manats for pensioners, and 274 manats for children.
