Baku:Azerbaijan has officially joined the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention on Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Cooperation among the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This announcement was made by Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev during the third Ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities of the OIC Member States held in Baku.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kamran Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan has already signed the Convention and expressed hope that it would be ratified soon.
The Prosecutor General further highlighted Azerbaijan’s upcoming role as the chair of the organization in the coming years, underscoring President Ilham Aliyev’s commitment to combatting corruption.
