Azerbaijan Extradites Internationally Wanted Kazakh Citizen


Baku: Cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of combating crime is successfully continued, Prosecutor General’s Office told APA. The request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the extradition of Darin Alislamovich Suyunov, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, born on 28.05.1999, for criminal liability was granted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, D.A. Suyunov, who was accused of committing the crimes of robbery, kidnapping, premeditated murder, and theft in Kazakhstan as a group of persons in advance and was declared an international wanted person, was identified in Azerbaijan in January of this year, and a preventive measure of arrest was chosen for him.



A decision was made to extradite the accused in accordance with the Convention “On Legal Aid and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters” dated 07.10.2002, and the latter was handed over to the authorized body of the Republic of Kazakhstan, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
