Baku: Changes have been implemented in Azerbaijan’s customs duty regulations concerning import and export activities on various products. The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to extend the validity period of certain import and export customs duties, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this decision involves amendments to the ‘Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Import Customs Duty Rates, and Export Customs Duty Rates.’ The extension is necessary due to the upcoming expiration of import customs duty rates on a range of products in 2025. The decision includes some exemptions from import customs duties for specific goods and the application of particular import and export customs duties for selected products.
The products affected by this decision encompass a wide array of categories, including meat products, dairy products, vegetables, fruits, fruit and vegetable juices, fruit drinks, tobacco, leather products, and construction materials such as drywall and stone wool. Additionally, items like air filters and ceramic products are also included in the list of product groups impacted by the extended duty rates.
