Baku: Imports of works of art, collectors’ items, and antiques into Azerbaijan will now be exempt from value-added tax (VAT), APA reports. This decision comes from a proposed amendment to the Tax Code, which was discussed during a session of the Milli Majlis.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment specifies that the exemption applies to items supported by documentation from an institution designated by the relevant executive authority. These items must align with the codes listed in the goods nomenclature of foreign economic activity. The draft law was subsequently put to a vote and passed its first reading in the legislative body.
