Baku: The suspension period for inspections in the field of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan is being extended. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this decision is part of a proposed amendment to the Law ‘On the Suspension of Inspections in the Field of Entrepreneurship,’ which was discussed during the first reading at the latest session of the Milli Majlis.
Under the new amendment, the suspension of business inspections will now continue until January 1, 2027. This marks an extension from the previously set deadline of January 1, 2026. Business inspections have been on hold in Azerbaijan since November 1, 2015, with the goal of fostering the development of entrepreneurship in the country.
Following deliberations, the draft law was put to a vote and successfully adopted in its first reading.
