Baku: Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov held a meeting with a delegation led by Asad Alam, Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia for the World Bank’s Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions (EFI). The meeting focused on exploring cooperative opportunities between Azerbaijan and the World Bank.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, discussions at the meeting included Azerbaijan’s macroeconomic outlook, reforms in the financial sector, and the advancement of digital payments. Both parties examined the ongoing and planned activities under the ‘Financial Sector Modernization 3’ project, a collaborative effort between the World Bank and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The meeting also involved a comprehensive exchange of views regarding the World Bank’s current operations in Azerbaijan and potential future cooperation.
