Azerbaijan and Ukraine Leaders Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Humanitarian Support in Gabala


Gabala: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held one-on-one and expanded meetings with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the latter’s working visit to Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meetings took place on April 25 in Gabala, where both leaders fondly recalled their previous encounters and expressed confidence that President Zelenskyy’s visit would be an opportune moment to discuss bilateral cooperation. The discussions covered expanding cooperation in various fields, notably in energy and agriculture, and included talks on the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission.



President Zelenskyy conveyed his gratitude to President Aliyev for Azerbaijan’s humanitarian support to Ukraine and the attention given to Ukrainian children by the Azerbaijani state. It was highlighted that a group of Ukrainian students is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan soon. This visit aims to provide rehabilitation and allow them to become acquainted with Azerbaijani culture and art.
