Azerbaijan Aims for Full Electrification of Agricultural Machinery by 2060

Baku:Azerbaijan has announced a strategic goal to transition entirely to electric machinery in its agriculture sector, aiming for 100% electrification, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this initiative is part of “Azerbaijan’s Long-Term Low-Carbon Development Strategy.” The strategy outlines a plan to accelerate the shift from conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) machinery to electric machinery in the agriculture, forestry, and other land use (AFOLU) sectors by 2035.

The strategy further aims to achieve full electrification and completely eliminate emissions from this subsector by 2060, marking a significant commitment to reducing carbon emissions and enhancing environmental sustainability in Azerbaijan’s agricultural practices.
