BAKU: August 27. Armenia’s territorial claims in the constitution pose a major obstacle to a peace treaty, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, Trend reports.
‘The Azerbaijani side has presented a draft peace agreement and five basic principles to Armenia. A significant part of the draft was agreed upon in the negotiation process, but the Armenian constitution and some other legal acts still contain territorial claims to Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, it is no secret that Armenia has territorial claims to Trkiye as well.
Nowadays, the biggest obstacle on the way to the conclusion of a peace treaty is the territorial claims to our countries in the Armenian constitution,’ he said.
To note, Jeyhun Bayramov is in Ankara on a working visit.
