Armenia committed crime against humanity by deporting Western Azerbaijanis: MP


“The return of Azerbaijanis forcibly removed from the territory of Armenia to their native lands is their historical, moral, human and legal right. Armenia must comply with international law and not create artificial obstacles for the return of our compatriots,” Sabina Salmanova, MP, a member of the defense, security and anti-corruption committee of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) told APA.

According to her, starting from the beginning of the 20th century, our compatriots were forcibly deported from Western Azerbaijan at various times, they were forced to leave their homeland as a result of the ethnic cleansing policy: “Deportation is a crime against humanity. Armenia committed a crime against humanity against Western Azerbaijanis. The President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has repeatedly drawn attention to this historical injustice from international tribunes and demanded the restoration of the rights of Western Azerbaijanis.
