ANAMA Staff Member Dies in Anti-Tank Mine Blast in Fuzuli


Fuzuli: An incident involving a mine resulted in a tragic loss in the territory of Ashaghi Abdurrahmanli village of Fuzuli district. The area, which was recently liberated from occupation, witnessed the explosion of an anti-tank mine on April 14, 2026, claiming the life of an Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) staff member.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the explosion occurred while the agency’s employee, Matili Mughan Rafayil oglu, born in 1995, was performing his official duties. The unforeseen detonation of the anti-tank mine led to the immediate loss of life of the dedicated worker.



The incident underscores the ongoing dangers faced by those working to clear landmines and ensure the safety of liberated territories.
