Aghdara: The Ministry of Emergency Situations is actively engaged in combating fires that have erupted in the mountainous terrains of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavend, Fuzuli, and Aghdara districts. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the challenging landscape and adverse weather conditions have necessitated a robust response from the ministry.
The operation involves 620 personnel drawn from various divisions including the State Fire Protection Service, Special Risk Rescue Service, Civil Defense Troops, Karabakh Regional Center, and the Aviation Detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The firefighting efforts are supported by 51 vehicles and 4 helicopters, all mobilized to manage and extinguish the fires.
The ministry’s press service has highlighted the ongoing difficulties posed by the complex terrain, high temperatures, and windy conditions, which complicate the firefighting operations. Despite these challenges, efforts to control the fires are being conducted continuously throughout the day and night.
