According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the number of students admitted for the current academic year was 92, while the number admitted last year was 82. For the current academic year, the highest admission score for the computer engineering specialty at the Trkiye-Azerbaijan University was 674.3, the highest score for industrial engineering was 654.4, and the highest score for food engineering was 553.6.
The head of the department noted that the Trkiye-Azerbaijan University is an ‘umbrella university’ model. This higher education institution combines the programs of three leading universities of Trkiye. Education here is conducted in accordance with the curricula of the Middle East Technical University (METU) for the computer engineering specialty, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) for the industrial engineering specialty, and Hacettepe University for the food engineering specialty. TAU’s Azerbaijani-side partner is considered to be the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).
Gunel Teymurova emphasized that education at the Trkiye-Azerbaijan University is state-funded and conducted in English. The academic English language skills of TAU students are developed by leading specialists from METU. Those who successfully complete the programs are awarded internationally recognized diplomas from both Trkiye and Azerbaijan, which means direct access to both local and global job opportunities for graduates.
