Accra:The development of the Zangezur Corridor is set to significantly enhance Azerbaijan’s transit capabilities and diversify international transport routes, as stated by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the construction of the Horadiz-Aghband highway has been completed as part of this initiative. Meanwhile, work on the railway line is still ongoing, and efforts are being made to modernize Nakhchivan’s railway infrastructure.
The ministry highlighted that the development of the Zangezur Corridor will enable an additional freight transportation capacity of up to 15 million tons annually, thereby strengthening regional transport connections.
