Baku: This year, Baku is set to host the 49th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Final, a prestigious programming competition scheduled from August 31 to September 5. Yelo Bank has been announced as the official banking partner for the event, partnering under the auspices of the Azerbaijan Banks Association.

According to Trend News Agency, university teams from around the world will gather in this elite contest. This year’s World Final will feature 140 teams, each comprising three students, from 70 nations displaying their programming skills.

Azerbaijani universities have been active participants in ICPC’s regional stages since 2005. Efforts have been made to promote programming within the nation, encouraging youth interest in the field and fostering local talent. Notably, in 2024, a team from ADA University was recognized for its strong performance at the World Final held in Luxor, Egypt.

The upcoming global final in Baku is organized by the ICPC Foundation and hosted by ADA University, in collaboration with the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, and the ICPC Azerbaijan community, with support from PASHA Holding. Through its support of the ICPC, Yelo Bank aims to contribute to Azerbaijan’s digital transformation and elevate young talent onto the international stage.
