‘The COP29 enables finding practical solutions to the problems of climate change. I believe COP29 will play a crucial role in this regard,’ said Yalchin Rafiyev, COP29 Lead Negotiator and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as he addressed the ‘TROIKA Roadmap to Mission 1.5: Enhancing International Cooperation’ event, co-hosted by the COP28, COP29, and COP30 Presidencies on the sidelines of the Pre-COP29 event, themed ‘Enhance Ambition and Enable Action’ in Baku on Thursday.
He highlighted that the upcoming COP29 Conference would primarily focus on methods to tackle climate change.
‘In addition to building new partnerships, we will also develop existing ones. Building a sustainable future and remaining committed to the 1.5°C target is our main priority,’ Rafiyev noted.
