Baku: King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, the Director-General of ICESCO Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, and King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain have all sent congratulatory letters to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, these messages of goodwill come as Azerbaijan celebrates its national Independence Day. The leaders expressed their wishes for continued prosperity and success for Azerbaijan under President Aliyev’s leadership.
In addition to these diplomatic exchanges, the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) drew to a close with a series of events, including an official closing press conference and a flag lowering ceremony involving Azerbaijan and the United Nations. The forum saw the participation of 115,000 people in its discussions.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Ali Asadov attended the CIS Council of Heads of Government meeting in Ashgabat, underscoring Azerbaijan’s ongoing engagement in regional cooperation and international dialogue.
