Volume of Finnish Investments in Azerbaijani Economy Increased Sharply


Baku: In the first quarter of 2025, direct investments from Finland into the Azerbaijani economy reached $19.35 million, APA reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. This figure represents a 30.9-fold increase, or $18.72 million more, compared to the same period last year.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, it is worth noting that in Q1 2025, Azerbaijan invested $315.12 million abroad, while the country attracted $1.52 billion in foreign direct investment. Thus, Finnish investments accounted for 1.3% of total FDI inflows to Azerbaijan, while Azerbaijani investments in Finland made up 1.8% of the country’s outward FDI.
