Azerbaijan should take the unified health approach into account in its national action plan and legislative preparation to implement it, said UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Vladanka Andreeva in response to APA’s question.
She stated that the creation of inter-agency working groups is the best example of implementing a unified health approach.
“In these working groups, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, as well as other relevant institutions and including civil society, can be represented. This would be a clear demonstration of Azerbaijan’s interest in a unified health system. This year, health issues will also be discussed at COP29, and Azerbaijan can showcase its approach to unified health during these sessions,” she added.
