Vincent Kompany Hospitalised After Collapse at Bayern Munich Training

Munich:Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has been hospitalised following a collapse at the club’s Saebener Strasse training headquarters. The incident occurred after a training session on Friday.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Belgian manager required immediate medical attention and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Munich. Although a rescue helicopter landed at the training complex, reports suggest Kompany was taken to the hospital by road.

The 40-year-old has been dealing with a viral infection affecting his legs, which has caused him significant discomfort. These health issues began before Bayern’s 6-1 victory over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga last weekend, during which Kompany stayed in the dugout for most of the match. He also missed Tuesday’s training session and the pre-match press conference for the Champions League game against Arsenal on Wednesday.
