Lankaran: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Alena Aliyeva made a visit to a special boarding school for children with disabilities in Lankaran on November 21.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the visit included participation in an exhibition of handicrafts, which was dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the historic Victory. The exhibition was attended by students and teachers of the school.
The visitors toured various facilities within the school, including classrooms, training rooms, and recreation rooms, to observe the organization of leisure activities for the children. The school, as the sole regional special boarding institution for children with disabilities in the southern region, offers specialized services like education and rehabilitation for children diagnosed with autism, Down syndrome, and mental impairment. It also provides accommodation, with 34 children currently benefiting from this service.
