Uzbekneftegaz, German bank moot attraction of finance for green projects


TASHKENT: Uzbekneftegaz JSC (the oil and gas company of Uzbekistan) discussed the attraction of financing for green projects, Trend reports.

According to information, it became known during the meeting between the management of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the delegation of German bank ‘AKA European export-trade bank,’ headed by General Director Marck Wengrzik.

The meeting discussed the main trends in the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan, production activities, investment priorities of the company, and prospects for cooperation.

The parties also considered the possibility of financing the existing contracts of Uzbekneftegaz JSC with European content.

Based on the agreements between the parties, it is expected that new opportunities for further cooperation will open up.

Meanwhile, earlier, Uzbekneftegaz held a meeting with representatives of investment companies Fidelity Management and Research, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and Artisan Partners.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the l
atest corporate achievements of Uzbekneftegaz, production activities, trends in the industry, and investment priorities for the future.
