Uzbekistan’s President Received with Ceremony in Azerbaijan


Baku: An official welcome ceremony was held for Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, marking the commencement of his state visit to Azerbaijan on July 2. The event was held in a square adorned with the national flags of both countries, where a guard of honor was prepared for the Uzbek leader. President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, extended a warm welcome to President Mirziyoyev upon his arrival.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremonial proceedings included a report to the President of Uzbekistan by the chief of the guard of honor. As part of the ceremony, the national anthems of both the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan were played, symbolizing the diplomatic ties between the two nations. The guard of honor then marched past the dignitaries, President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the tune of a military march, further highlighting the significance of the visit.



The event concluded with the Presidents posing for official photographs, capturing the moment of camaraderie and mutual respect between the two leaders. This visit by President Mirziyoyev is expected to strengthen bilateral relations and foster cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in various sectors.
