Baku: Representatives of the US Embassy visited the Azerbaijan University as part of their trip to Baku.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation included Head of the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the US Department of State, John Silver, RELO specialist, Aycan Yaman, representative of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Cora Mantzke, Randy Cole, Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy, and Sabina Abdullayeva, an embassy staff member.
Rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva briefed the guests on the university’s history, academic programs, international partnerships, development priorities, and strategic goals. Aliyeva emphasized that internationalization is one of the key pillars of the university’s development strategy.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov highlighted the university’s research activities, as well as its positions in international rankings.
The meeting concluded with discussions on potential areas of future cooperation and an
exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
