Baku: The US Embassy in Azerbaijan has addressed reports circulating in local media about the suspension of visa issuance to Azerbaijani citizens. “We have noticed articles in local media claiming that the United States is suspending all visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Azerbaijan,” the embassy stated, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the embassy clarified that the information being circulated is misleading. The current pause in visa issuance only pertains to immigrant (permanent residence) visa categories. This pause does not impact legitimate non-immigrant visa applicants such as tourists, business travelers, students, and exchange visitors. The processing of non-immigrant visas continues at the U.S. Embassy in Baku.
