Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, made a phone call to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on May 8. During the conversation, the leaders conveyed their satisfaction with the discussions that took place in Abu Dhabi during President Aliyev’s recent visit to the UAE.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, both Presidents highlighted the successful development of relations between their countries, which are rooted in mutual trust and friendship. They noted the growth of economic and trade ties, reflecting the spirit of the existing political dialogue, and emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits of delegations across various sectors.
The two heads of state also exchanged views on matters related to the bilateral and regional agenda, further solidifying the cooperation and mutual understanding between the UAE and Azerbaijan.
