U.S. and European Stock Markets Show Mixed Performance as Euro Declines

New York: On June 9, the U.S. stock markets experienced a slight uptick, with the S and P 500 index rising by 0.09% to 6,005.88 points and the Nasdaq index increasing by 0.31% to 19,591.24 points.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets showed a different trend on the same day. The FTSE 100 index in the United Kingdom decreased by 0.06% to 8,832.28 points. Germany’s DAX index saw a decline of 0.54%, settling at 24,174.32 points, while France’s CAC-40 index fell by 0.17% to 7,791.47 points.

In the currency markets, the euro’s exchange rate against the dollar decreased by 0.17%, reaching USD 1.1403, reflecting a global market reaction to current economic conditions.
