U.S. and European Stock Markets Experience Mixed Performance

New York: On February 14, the U.S. stock market witnessed a mixed performance among its main indexes. The S and P 500 index saw a slight decrease of 0.01%, closing at 6,114.63. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite experienced an increase of 0.41%, reaching 20,026.67. In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.37%, ending the day at 44,546.08.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the European stock markets also displayed varied results. On February 12, France’s CAC 40 showed a modest increase of 0.18%, closing at 8,178.54 points. The FTSE 100 in the United Kingdom, however, saw a decrease of 0.37%, closing at 8,732.46. Germany’s DAX also experienced a decline, falling by 0.44% to close at 22,513.42.

In the global market context, the exchange rate of the euro against the dollar has risen by 0.26%, reaching 1.0492 dollars. This reflects shifts in currency dynamics influencing international trade and investment strategies.
