Ankara: Trkiye prefers diplomacy over conflict, and stability over insecurity. That is why it engages in multiple regional cooperation frameworks. Trkiye is a member of NATO and EU candidate country, while also supporting initiatives like the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), expanding cooperation among Islamic countries, and strengthening regional security structures,’ said Cevdet Yilmaz, Vice President of Trkiye, during his remarks at a panel titled ‘The Role of Regional Ownership in a Transforming World,’ held as part of ADF2026.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Cevdet Yilmaz emphasized that Trkiye prioritizes dialogue over conflict, arguing that wars do not benefit anyone, whereas a just peace is advantageous for all. He presented two potential paths: one leading to instability and loss, and another leading to stability through diplomacy. Yilmaz stated that Trkiye will continue to keep communication channels open and aims to expand cooperation across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to enhance global conditions.
