Antalya: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Trkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, along with Slovenia’s Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy Bojan Kumer on the margins of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Trkiye.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the meeting with Alparslan Bayraktar, the discussions focused on the Azerbaijan-Trkiye energy partnership’s role in global energy security and sustainable energy supply. Both ministers evaluated the present situation in the field of gas supply and reviewed the development of the “Azerbaijan-Trkiye-Europe” and “Azerbaijan-Georgia-Trkiye-Bulgaria” green energy interconnector projects, agreeing to accelerate the process.
The possibility of hosting the next “Azerbaijan-Trkiye Energy Forum” meeting in Azerbaijan within the year was also discussed. Later, Parviz Shahbazov had a meeting with Slovenian Minister Bojan Kumer, where they praised the progress in bilateral energy relations.
They explored the continuation of gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Slovenia and potential cooperative areas, emphasizing the importance of mutual consultations. Minister Shahbazov extended an invitation to Slovenian Minister Kumer to participate in the “Baku Energy Week” events with a delegation.
