Baku: We are working on a hotel project in Baku that combines historical heritage with modern architecture, said Turkish architect Sinan Kafadar, founder of the ‘Metex Mimarlik’ company, during the ‘Invision Design Talks 2’ forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sinan Kafadar noted that his architectural bureau is currently developing the ‘Canopy by Hilton Baku’ hotel project situated in Baku’s Sabail district. The project focuses on preserving two historically significant buildings while introducing a new structure between them. It also includes plans for an inner courtyard, a winter garden, the preservation of green spaces, and a panoramic view of the Caspian Sea.
The architect emphasized that the main idea of the project is to reflect the symbolic elements of Baku – water and fire motifs – within the architecture and interior design. The interior concept is said to incorporate Azerbaijani carpet art, national ornaments, and local cultural motifs, aiming to tell a unique architectural story.
The ‘Invision Design Talks 2’ forum, where the announcement was made, was organized through the cooperation of Seranit Azerbaijan and ‘Sinerji Pro,’ with media support from the APA News Agency.
