‘TurAz Qartali-2026’ Joint Tactical Flight Exercise Advances


Baku: ‘TurAz Qartali-2026’ joint tactical flight exercise, a significant event under the military collaboration between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Trkiye, is currently underway, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to AZERTAC.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exercise plan includes tasks focused on interoperability across various episodes. Notably, a Sikorsky S-70 helicopter from the Turkish Air Forces executed electronic warfare measures, successfully neutralizing the electronic assets of a fictional enemy on the ground. Concurrently, a Mi-17 helicopter from the Azerbaijani Air Forces completed missions involving the detection and destruction of simulated targets.



The primary goals of the exercise are to ensure seamless interoperability between the Air Forces of these allied nations, enhance the professionalism of military personnel, and promote the exchange of mutual experience.
