A traffic accident on Dushanbe-Kulyab-Khorog highway in Tajikistan resulted in ten fatalities and 13 injuries, Asia-Plus reports.
A truck collided with several cars and crashed into houses.
A source from the regional health department stated that ten people were killed and 13 injured, with two receiving first aid and the others hospitalized.
However, the Committee for Emergency Situations under the president of the republic reported to TASS that 14 people were injured.
The Tajik Interior Ministry said the cause of the accident was a failure in the truck’s braking system. A criminal case has been opened. At President Emomali Rahmon’s order, the Interior Minister and Health Minister headed to the scene.
