Ankara: Consultations were held between Trkiye and Azerbaijan regarding the brotherly country’s nomination process for COP31, said Trkiye’s Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Minister stated that he held a videoconference meeting with the Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Climate Issues, Mukhtar Babaev, and Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen.
In his statement, Murat Kurum emphasized that consultations regarding the COP31 nomination process took place and reaffirmed Trkiye’s determination to its candidacy. He mentioned that Trkiye will continue to combat climate change with the highest political will and take steps within the framework of their green development vision.
