Baku: Details on the organization of transportation services for the upcoming World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) in Azerbaijan have been announced. Vugar Aslanov, head of the transport department of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company, revealed the transport management plan at a briefing, emphasizing the implementation of direct transportation from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to key transport interchange centers in the city center.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aslanov explained that the transportation services will operate on a 24-hour basis, with schedules to be shared in advance with participants and the public. The plan includes several key transportation directions to ensure seamless travel for attendees.
The first direction focuses on direct transportation from the airport to the event venue. Additionally, there will be direct routes from city transport interchange centers to the event venue. These centers have been strategically selected near hotels to facilitate easy access. In areas without nearby hotels, additional stops will be designated to maintain efficient transport services.
Another crucial aspect is integrating public transport into this system. A special route will run 24 hours a day from the Koroglu metro station, allowing passengers using public transport direct access to the event venue. Nine city transport interchange centers have been identified, along with two regular intra-city bus lines and a total of 67 intra-city stops. At the airport, six regular bus lines will be in operation. The transport interchange centers include locations such as Shikh, Icherisheher, Nariman Narimanov, Izmir, 28 May, Ganjlik, White City, Seabreeze, and Koroglu.
