BISHKEK: Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have demarcated 94 percent of their shared border, Trend reports.
According to the Information Service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office, the next round of negotiations between the topographical working groups and legal teams of the governmental delegations from both countries is scheduled for August in Kyrgyzstan’s Batken.
The discussions will focus on ironing out the last 6 percent of disputed areas.
Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan share a 970-kilometer border; however, some regions still need to be defined and designated. Meetings between delegations take place alternately in the territories of each country.
